Three lanes, one lion
Weave between lanes, jump the logs and slide under the low branches. Every obstacle is a real collision box, not a decoration.
A track that never repeats
The savanna is generated as you run, and every pattern is checked for a survivable route before it appears ahead of you.
Coins and combos
Chain coins to build a multiplier. Let one slip past in your own lane and the streak resets - though 25 clean coins bank a save that forgives one miss.
Four real power-ups
Magnet, shield, double coins and a smashing speed boost, each with its own timer on the HUD.
It gets harder
Speed climbs from 7 to 25 metres a second through Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme and Nightmare.
Keyboard or thumbs
Arrow keys on a desktop, swipes or big on-screen buttons on a phone. Installable as an app, playable offline.
Power-ups
Four orbs spawn along the track, at least 320 metres apart.
Magnet
Pulls every nearby coin straight to the lion for 8 seconds.
Shield
Absorbs one crash. The bubble shatters and you keep running.
×2 Coins
Doubles the value of every coin you grab for 10 seconds.
Boost
A 6 second sprint that smashes straight through obstacles.

How the score is built
Nothing is hardcoded. Every point on the HUD comes from something you did on the track.
- Distance - 2points per metre, scaled by the difficulty bonus of the band you are in.
- Coins - 10 points each. Rare gold coins count as 5 coins. Double Coins doubles the lot while it lasts.
- Combos - x2 at 10, x3 at 25, x5 at 50 coins in a row. Miss a coin in your own lane and the streak starts over - unless you have banked a combo save, which every 25 clean coins earns you.
- Close calls - squeeze past an obstacle and take 25 points for the nerve. Take another within 70 m and the chain pays double, then triple, up to x4.
Difficulty bands
Speed ramps smoothly from 7 to 25 m/s. The band you are in is shown live on the HUD.

How do you play the lions game?
Four moves, one lion:
- Change lane to dodge anything you cannot clear - the track is 3 lanes wide.
- Jump rocks, logs and bushes.
- Slide under low branches.
- Collect coins in an unbroken line to build a combo multiplier, and grab power-up orbs when they appear.
There is no menu to manage and nothing to buy. Distance and a clean coin line are the whole game.
What are the controls for the lions game?
Keyboard: left/right arrows or A and D to change lane, up arrow, W or Space to jump, down arrow or S to slide, Esc or P to pause, Enter to confirm.
Touch: swipe left, right, up or down, or use the large on-screen buttons at the bottom of the screen. Both input methods are live at the same time, so a laptop with a touchscreen accepts either.
Can you evolve your lion or become King Lion?
No. Lion Runner has no evolution stages, no cub-to-king growth tree and no prestige system - those belong to lion idle-RPG games, which this is not. Progression here is skill and speed: the lion accelerates from 7 to 25 metres per second as you run, the track moves through the Easy, Medium, Hard, Extreme, Nightmare difficulty bands, score milestones fire as you pass them, and your best run is saved in your own browser.
How does survival work in the lions game?
Survival is distance, not upkeep. There is no hunger meter, thirst meter or stamina bar - you have a single life, and one unprotected collision ends the run. What keeps you alive is reading the track: every obstacle row is generated with at least one survivable route, so there is always a way through if you spot it in time. A shield power-up absorbs exactly one crash and then breaks, leaving 1.1 seconds of recovery before you are vulnerable again.
Is the leaderboard global?
No, and it is labelled as local everywhere it appears. The leaderboard lists runs saved in this browser on this device. There is no server, no online ranking and no scores from other players - inventing them would be dishonest, so the game does not.
Does the lions game work on mobile, iPad and Chromebook?
Yes. The canvas resizes to any viewport, portrait or landscape, and the framing keeps the lion at a constant share of the screen height so a phone is not a disadvantage. Touch controls are swipes plus large on-screen buttons. On a Chromebook it runs in Chrome like any other page; whether your school or office network allows the domain is up to that network, not the game.
