Animal survival game: you are the lion
Short answer
You play the animal, and what you survive is the terrain rather than a food chain: there is no hunting, no prey AI and no predator to escape. One lion, one life, six kinds of savanna obstacle, and a coin combo that pays you for taking the tighter line. Free to play in any browser.

What the genre usually means, and what this is
Animal survival games normally put you inside an ecosystem: you hunt, you eat, you drink, you avoid being eaten, and meters tick down while you decide. This one keeps the animal and the wilderness but replaces the ecosystem with a chase. There is nothing to hunt and nothing hunting you - the savanna itself is the opponent, arriving as rocks, logs, bushes, low branches, boulders and termite mounds at up to 25 m/s.
Saying so plainly is more useful than implying otherwise: if you want to stalk a gazelle you will be disappointed in ten seconds, and if you want a wild animal you can play right now with no download you will not be.
Risk and reward, per row
Coins are the pressure. They are laid in lines and arcs, sometimes down the lane with an obstacle in it, and picking them up unbroken builds a multiplier - 2x at 10, 3x at 25, 5x at 50 coins in a row - which one crash-free detour into the safe lane will not break, but one missed coin will. Rare gold coins are worth 5 ordinary ones. Four power-up orbs, never closer than 320 m apart, change the calculation while they last: the magnet buys you the safe lane and the coins together for 8s, the boost lets you ignore obstacles entirely for 6s, and the shield buys exactly one mistake.
The lion itself
You see the lion from behind, running away from you toward the horizon, because that is what a chase camera actually shows: the back of the mane between broad shoulders, the tawny back and hindquarters, four legs cycling in a diagonal gait, the tail sweeping, dust kicking up from the paws. It leans into a lane change instead of turning, tucks its legs in a jump, and flattens out into a slide. Nothing about it is a mirrored side-on sprite - the pose is drawn for this angle.
Questions about this
Answers describing the game as it is actually built.
Can you hunt prey animals in the lions game?
No. There is no hunting, no prey AI and no food chain - the lion runs and dodges, it does not stalk. What the savanna throws at you instead is six kinds of obstacle: rocks and big rocks, logs, low-hanging branches, bushes and termite mounds. Each one is a real collision box with its own clearance rule - jump it, slide under it, or change lane.
Can you manage a pride, raise cubs or build a den?
No. There is one lion and one run - no pride roster, no cubs, no mates, no den building and no territory map. Those are features of lion life-simulation and pride-management games; this is an arcade runner, and the only thing you build is a longer distance than your last attempt. The lion you control is an adult male, seen from behind as he sprints away from the camera.
How does survival work in the lions game?
Survival is distance, not upkeep. There is no hunger meter, thirst meter or stamina bar - you have a single life, and one unprotected collision ends the run. What keeps you alive is reading the track: every obstacle row is generated with at least one survivable route, so there is always a way through if you spot it in time. A shield power-up absorbs exactly one crash and then breaks, leaving 1.1 seconds of recovery before you are vulnerable again.
How is the score calculated?
Every metre is worth 2 points, scaled by the multiplier of the difficulty band you are in. Each coin adds 10 points, multiplied by your coin combo (2x at 10 coins, 3x at 25 coins, 5x at 50 coins) and doubled again while the double-coins power-up runs. Squeezing past an obstacle inside 0.78 of a metre scores a 25-point close call, and close calls taken within 70 metres of each other chain for up to 4 times that. Rare gold coins count as 5 ordinary ones.
What do the power-ups do?
Four orbs spawn along the track, never closer together than 320 metres. Magnet pulls coins within 7 metres toward you for 8 seconds. Shield absorbs one crash. Double coins doubles every coin's value for 10 seconds. Speed boost adds 7 m/s for 6 seconds and smashes straight through obstacles while it lasts.
Is the leaderboard global?
No, and it is labelled as local everywhere it appears. The leaderboard lists runs saved in this browser on this device. There is no server, no online ranking and no scores from other players - inventing them would be dishonest, so the game does not.
Is the lions game suitable for children?
Yes. There is no violence, no blood, no chat, no user accounts and no data collection - a crash just stops the run. Nothing is uploaded from the device and there is nothing to buy.

Lions do not live in jungles, so this one runs through the African savanna instead: dry golden grass, flat-topped acacias, granite outcrops and termite mounds, under six layers of parallax scenery out to a 130-metre draw distance.
